Laughter lowers stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, promoting relaxation and reducing overall stress, which improves heart health by enhancing blood flow and the function of blood vessels, thereby lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Having said this, we never really get tired of good jokes that tend to make our day, just like the one below.
The wife, feeling uneasy about her husband’s behavior, decided to check his phone. She found three contacts that made her suspicious:
- “The tender one”
- “The amazing one”
- “Lady of my dreams”
Heart pounding, she called the first number.
Conversation 1:
Mother: “Hello?”
Wife: “Uh, hi. Who is this?”
Mother: “This is David’s mother. Who is this?”
Wife: (relieved but embarrassed) “Oh, it’s me, Sarah. I didn’t realize… Sorry for the disturbance.”
Mother: “No problem, dear. Is everything okay?”
Wife: “Yes, everything is fine. Thank you.”
Feeling a bit silly but still determined, she dialed the second number.
Conversation 2:
Sister: “Hey there!”
Wife: “Hi, um, who am I speaking to?”
Sister: “It’s Anna, David’s sister. Who’s this?”
Wife: (sighs in relief) “Oh, Anna, it’s Sarah. Sorry, I didn’t recognize the number.”
Sister: “No worries, what’s up?”
Wife: “Nothing, just wanted to check something. Thanks.”
Her anxiety rising, she called the third number. To her shock, her own phone began to ring.
Realizing she had wrongly suspected her husband, she cried until her eyes were swollen. In an attempt to make amends, she gave him her entire month’s salary as a gesture of love and apology.
The husband used the money to buy a gift for his girlfriend, whose number was saved as ‘Uncle Mike the mechanic.’
